The BeadBuster XB-450i is an upgraded design of the original small frame bead breaker. The new design updates include Premium Investment Cast construction from hardened 4140 Chrome-Moly Steel, custom Grade-8 Bolts with crowned tips, and double female ram thread length (1″). These improvements address weld and thread stripping failures that some customers experienced with the legacy design. The removable clamp arm can be swapped with other accessory clamp arms for specialty applications.
With the home mechanic and trail rider in mind, it was specifically designed for difficult-to-remove ATV tires, but it works just as well on just about every kind of tire there is. No adjustment is needed for different tire/wheel sizes. The portable bead breaker is small and perfect for stashing in your glove box or tool box. A 3/4″ wrench is required to drive the clamp and ram bolts. Hand wrenches will work, power tools are recommended. You can use an impact wrench, but use caution with a 1/2″ impact to not over-torque the bolts.
Tire Irons are required to finish the job of removing the tire from the rim.

The XB-450i is our original and most popular size. It was originally designed for the most challenging ATV tires, but it works just as well on a large variety of vehicles, shown in the chart above. The XB-450i, along with the accessory clamp arms for special applications, will work on any 1-pc wheel with a tire OD up to 32″. The accessory Extended Clamp Arm (BB1X-CAE) is required for Contoured Automotive Rims and the Clamp Post (BB1X-CAP) is required for Reinforced ATV Rims. A Spacer (BB1-SPCR) is required for 7″ & 8″ ATV (Rim Code: AT) rims that are typically found on 3-Wheelers and Mini-Quads.
