ODI Ruffian Half‑Waffle Slip On Rubber MX Grips – Medium Compound – 7/8" Twist Throttle – Made in USA

OVERVIEW

The ODI Ruffian half-waffle grips deliver enhanced rider control, vibration damping, and long-term hand comfort across mixed terrain. Crafted from ODI’s proprietary medium-compound rubber, these slip-on MX handlebar accessories provide reliable grip without adding bulk. They are engineered to mount directly onto standard 7/8-inch bars and accommodate modern electronic throttle setups on dirt bikes and e-bikes.

ENGINEERING & PERFORMANCE

The molded half-waffle tread pattern locks into gloved fingers while keeping the handlebar interface stable under heavy steering loads. ODI’s medium-density rubber blend balances impact absorption with structural integrity, resisting compression and wear over repeated track or trail use. A reinforced closed-end cap anchors the grip firmly to the metal tube, eliminating slippage during aggressive twist-throttle operations and rough-surface impacts.

WHY RIDERS CHOOSE THIS

Riders choose the Ruffian for its tuned medium rubber density, which neutralizes trail chatter while preserving the direct mechanical feedback required for competitive riding. The aggressive half-waffle layout maintains a secure glove lock during hard acceleration and rapid direction changes, actively reducing hand fatigue on longer outings. The locked-in closed-end design offers a quick, permanent seat on standard tubes that resists rotation even under sustained twist-throttle abuse. Engineered for lightweight off-road chassis dynamics, these grips bridge the gap between traditional motocross performance and modern electronic throttle compatibility.
